

JoAnn P. Jamieson
JoAnn P. Jamieson is a senior environmental and energy regulatory lawyer with over 25 years experience serving corporate and government clients throughout Western and Northern Canada. JoAnn’s practice focuses on Indigenous, land, water, environmental assessment, energy and natural resource matters. JoAnn also has extensive experience in Crown consultation, treaty interpretation, the negotiation of benefit and equity participation agreements, ESG reporting, Indigenous inclusion policy and the development of economic reconciliation plans. JoAnn is trained in collaborative negotiation and is known for her calm and thoughtful approach to community and Indigenous relations.

JoAnn is called to the Bars in Alberta, Northwest Territories and Nunavut and has appeared before the various energy tribunals and land and water boards, the Court of King’s Bench and the Alberta Court of Appeal. JoAnn is the past President of the Environmental Law Centre (Alberta) and is a published writer and a frequent speaker on strategic project planning and Indigenous relations matters. She has been recognized as a leading Canadian lawyer in aboriginal, environmental, energy and mining law by Best Lawyers in Canada, Chambers Canada and Lexpert.

JoAnn lives with her family on an acreage in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and regularly enjoys the outdoors – trail running, hiking, camping, and skiing. ​​
